Donnie Scantz


Donnie Scantz is a Bahamian-American producer, musician and songwriter and founder of ‘State of Emergency,’ which is a music and extreme lifestyle allegiance dedicated to producing R&B, Pop, Hip Hop & Rock music.

He is Co-Founder of The DS3 Group and Vice President of DS3 Entertainment.

Darnely “Donnie Scantz” Scantlebury III is Vice President of  Bahamas’ DS3 Entertainment.


Donnie Scantz graduated from the High School for Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) in Houston, Texas and completed his education at Howard University. Donnie is a music producer, musician and songwriter. He is also the founder of State of Emergency, a music and extreme lifestyle allegiance dedicated to producing R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop and Rock. He is a two time Grammy Nominee and has worked with artists such as Aaliyah, Toni Braxton, Usher, Ludacris, Miguel, Young Lloyd, LaRon and Chris Brown. In 2003, Scantz won the Dove Award for his work with Out of Eden’s This Is Your Life. In 2004, he received two Grammy Nominations for Usher’s Confessions for his work on “Yeah!”

His credits include Chris Brown, Aaliyah, Ideal, Ludacris, Danity Kane, Chanté Moore, Jagged Edge, J. Holiday, Dave Hollister, Toni Braxton, Miguel, Lloyd, Keri Hilson, and he is a two-time Grammy nominee for work on Usher’s “Yeah!” on 2004 LP “Confessions” and a Dove Award recipient for Out of Eden’s 2003 LP “This Is Your Life”.
